A walker has died after having a cardiac arrest on Llandudno's Great Orme. Emergency teams called to the scene tried to save him, but the man who was walking with family did not survive.

Paramedics, coastguard officers and mountain rescue volunteers from Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue Team (OVMRT) were called to the scene

An OVMRT spokesperson shared: "A family group were walking on the foot path on the southern side of the Great Orme above Llandudno, when one of them suffered a cardiac arrest. Bystander CPR was conducted as the ambulance, mountain rescue and coastguard were called to assist at the scene.

"The initial call was from ambulance to mountain rescue but further assistance was requested from HM Coastguard to attend."

They also said that despite a big effort to save the man, he was pronounced dead at the place where he collapsed.
