Usher took to the stage to headline the Super Bowl 2024 halftime show this morning (Feb 12) at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. He promised surprise guests and a show that celebrates both his past and present - and he delivered.

Usher previously appeared as a guest during the Black Eyed Peas' performance at Super Bowl XLV. The eight-time Grammy-winner, who announced that he will roller skate during the show, revealed that a camera crew has been following him to document the experience.

And roller skate he did. The performance included everything from acrobatics and guitar solos to a marching band and big celebrity guests.

With a red silk cape billowing behind her, Alicia Keys performed a moment from her single, “If I Ain’t Got You”, before a rendition of “My Boo”, her 2004 hit with Usher. H.E.R. also joined Usher for a Prince-style guitar solo, as well as Lil Jon, Ludacris, Will.I.Am, and Jermaine Dupri.

The Super Bowl halftime show is one of the biggest and most watched musical performances in the world, as every year an audience of more than 100 million people tune in to watch. This year, the R&B icon is celebrating 30 years since the release of his debut album ‘Usher’ in 1994. He is famous for hits such as You Make Me Wanna…, Pop Ya Collar, U Remind Me, Yeah! and Burn.

This year's Super Bowl sees the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers go head to head. The Chiefs - who are defending champions - are seeking their third Super Bowl crown in four years.

Tight End Travis Kelce and the Chiefs, led by Patrick Mahomes, are appearing in their fourth Super Bowl in five years and are looking to become the first team to win back-to-back titles since Tom Brady’s New England Patriots in 2005.
