UB40 ex-lead singer Ali Campbell and Jason Donovan will be among the stars taking to the stage as a popular British retro music festival heads to Swansea for the first time. Let's Rock Wales will host an event at Singleton Park on Saturday, July 20.
Ali Campbell will headline the event while ABC, The Boomtown Rats, Go West, The Real Thing, Nik Kershaw, The Christians, Jason Donovan, Jaki Graham, Musical Youth, Neal X of Sigue Sigue Sputnik, and Red Box will also all perform with more names still to be announced.
A statement from UK Live Ltd, the organisers of Let’s Rock, read: “We are so excited to be bringing Let’s Rock Wales to Swansea for the first time this summer. With so many icons of pop performing we believe that Let’s Rock offers a great value day out for all the family – and it's always such terrific fun. It is the second big gig to be officially announced for Singleton Park this summer with James Arthur set to perform there two days earlier on July 18. You can read more about that by clicking here.
Ali Campbell, of UB40, said: “We’re really looking forward to making our debut at Let’s Rock this summer. We've heard great things about the energy of the crowds at these festivals, which is something we love to tap into. Sunshine, good vibes and reggae music – the perfect summer’s evening."
