Valentine's Day is almost here but with the weather remaining somewhat dreary, many of us will be looking out for delicious dine-in options so we can gorge from the comforts of our own home. Luckily, the supermarkets have pulled out all the stops this year with their Valentine's Day meal deals.

All supermarket meal deals are eligible for this deal, which includes two mains, one side, one dessert and a bottle of wine (or soft drink). So what is on offer? This year, M&S says their Valentine's Day dine-in menu for 2024 is their most luxurious yet, with lobster on the menu for the first time, as well as the finest steak, mouthwatering lamb shanks, and king prawns all up for grabs. What's more, customers can also grab the store's famous Passionstar martini cocktail tinnies as part of the meal deal.

Elsewhere, Morrisons is offering a three-course premium dining experience with scotch eggs, pulled beef en croute, and raspberry profiteroles all included in the offer with a bottle of plonk from the supermarket's The Best range. Asda has also announced its new Bistro Dine in for 2 offer for Valentine's Day, which includes a starter, main, two sides, dessert, and an alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink for just £12.

Also pulling out all the stops is Tesco with its Finest Valentine’s Dinner for Two, available exclusively with Clubcard, Sainsbury's, which has over twenty-five products in the range to choose from, and Waitrose, who says its great value £20 Valentine's Dine-In offers more choice than ever before.

Even Aldi is getting in on the action, bringing back their heart-shaped food range for the month of love. Here are all the Valentine's Day meal deals on offer across the supermarkets for 2024.

Marks and Spencer

Marks and Spencer's Valentine's Day dine-in for two 2024 options

What's included: Starter, main, side, dessert and drink

M&S' luxurious Valentine’s Dine In deal has been hailed the store's most luxurious menu yet and includes lobster for the first time, in the form of king prawn and lobster thermidor gratins as a starter. This can be paired with a fillet steak beef wellington for the main course paired with a side of truffle mash and an indulgent white chocolate and raspberry mousse heart for dessert.

Rump steaks with peppercorn sauce, butterflied seabass stuffed with herb butter, and chicken cordon bleu are also on the main menu, with drink choices ranging from a bottle of Prosecco to Malbec, Chardonnay or four Passionstar Martini tinnies. A gluten free menu and vegan menu can also be created, shoppers can head to their local M&S to see the range in full and get their hands on this year's deal up until Wednesday, February 14.

Morrisons has unveiled its Dine In For Two Meal Deal for Valentine’s Day, offering a three-course premium dining experience for just £15 with a Morrisons More Card and online. Customers can choose from a selection of starters, mains, sides, desserts, and wines from the store's The Best range.

Shoppers can choose from smoked salmon verrines, tempura prawns, scotch eggs, Mediterranean antipasti, a chicken parfait with a pink peppercorn and champagne glaze, and a camembert tear and share bread. Mains include a lightly smoked Scottish salmon with pink peppercorn butter, beef en croute, pork fillet wrapped in prosciutto, slow-cooked lamb shanks with Chianti red wine and rosemary, chicken parmigiana, 30-day matured rump steaks, and mac and cheese.

Sides include triple-cooked chunky chips, an indulgent parmesan, and truffle mash, a medley of green vegetables, creamy dauphinoise, cauliflower cheese, ciabatta sticks, and carrots smothered with acacia honey butter. Customers can finish off their meal with a wide array of desserts, including raspberry profiteroles, black forest, lemon and zillionaire cheesecakes, raspberry panna cotta pots, and chocolate cakes. To drink, shoppers can choose from a selection of award-winning wines, fizz and beer to soft drinks too, including an alcohol-free sparkling rosé, a choice of lemonades, pressé and ginger beer.

Asda

Asda Valentine's Day meal deal option 2024

Price: £12

What's included: Starter, main, two sides, dessert and drink

Starter highlights include the Bistro Coquille St Jacques - a union of Coldwater prawns and scallops in a mouth-watering extra mature cheddar and Sauvignon Blanc sauce, finished with a buttered crumb. Or, for plant-based customers, the all-new Bistro Vegan Brie Hearts with a sweet chilli jam is up for grabs.

The main event includes the Bistro 30-Day Matured Sirloin Steaks with Garlic & Herb Love Heart Butters. Or for something a little different, the new Bistro Herb-Crusted Canon of Pork Loin. Side options include the Bistro Parmesan Fries with Smokey Garlic Butter, the Bistro Roasted Chantenay Carrots with Sweet and Sticky Maple Dressing or the Bistro Cauliflower Cheese.

This year, Waitrose has over 50 food and drink options to choose from, including high-welfare, grass-fed British beef, MSC-certified fish, vegan options, and innovative new desserts. There are nine starters to choose from, including the No.1 Cornish Quartz Cheddar and Shallot Tarts and Waitrose's No.1 Antipasto Meat.

For the main course, there are 13 options, including British Sirloin Steaks with Garlic and Herb Butter, No.1 Parmigiano Reggiano and Truffle Chicken Kyiv, and No.1 Beetroot Risotto. The nine different side dishes include The White Rabbit Garlicky Focaccine, No.1 Triple Cooked Chips, and No.1 Cauliflower and Broccoli Three Cheese Gratin.

Sure to be a winner for dessert is the No.1 Madagascan Vanilla and Pistachio Hearts, fluffy Madagascan vanilla and Belgian white chocolate mousse with a delicious salted pistachio crush, dipped in dark chocolate and finished with a sweet dusting. The deal will be available in shops, online, and selected lines will also be available on Deliveroo for £25.

Tesco

Tesco Valentine's Day meal deal 2024

Price: £18 with a starter, £12 without exclusively with a Clubcard

What's included: Optional starter, main, side, dessert and drink

Tesco has said that their meal deal is available in all Express stores, the deal includes one main, one side, one dessert, and one drink - all for only £12.00 exclusively with a Clubcard. Alternatively, shoppers can head to Tesco.com or in-store to any larger supermarket and elevate the dining experience by including a starter for a total cost of £18.00.

Starters include the classic French starter Tesco Finest Coquilles St Jaques and the Tesco Finest Mushroom Arancini with Black Garlic Dip. Mouth-watering mains include the Tesco Finest Slow Cooked Duck Legs that are coated in a morello cherry hoisin sauce, the Tesco Finest Coq Au Vin, or the Tesco Finest Ranch Steak, drizzled with smooth Béarnaise butter.

2024 also sees a new vegan main added to the line-up, the Tesco Finest Harissa Butternut Galette, a hand-crafted golden crispy filo tart filled with harissa spiced butternut squash, chickpeas, chestnuts and dried cranberries. Side include Tesco Finest Green Vegetable Selection, Tesco Finest Creamy, Buttery Mash, and Tesco Finest Hasselback Potatoes, while the desserts include Tesco Finest Belgian Chocolate Cubes with Raspberry Compote and the Tesco Finest Mango & Passionfruit Meringue Clouds.

Drink options include the Finest Prosecco Valdobbiadene, and a 4-pack of Peroni, while those looking for no or low alcohol options can celebrate the occasion with the Nozeco Rose or the deliciously fragrant Bottle Green sparkling pressé in Crisp Apple and Elderflower.

Sainsbury's

Sainsbury's Valentine's Day meal deal 2024

Sainsbury's has over twenty-five products in the range to choose from, with both meat and vegan options as well as non-alcoholic drinks available. One meal customers could create is the Taste the Difference Scallop Gratin starter, followed by the Taste the Difference Slow Cooked Duck Legs with Cherry and Teriyaki Glaze, paired with Taste the Difference Dauphinoise Potatoes.

For dessert, shoppers could choose the Taste the Difference White Chocolate and Strawberry Roses, which they could wash down with Taste the Difference Prosecco or Shloer Pink Non-Alcoholic Bubbly Sparkling Juice Drink. Sainsbury's shoppers can see the full range online or in-store.

Aldi

Not quite a meal deal but you can put together your own heart shaped food menu thanks to Aldi. Options include the Specially Selected Gastro Valentine’s Day Cheese Truckles, £2.99, or the Love Heart Brioche, £2.49, as well as the Heart Shaped Crumpets, £1.19 for a pack of four.
