A top restaurant in North Wales has found a new owner after a tough six months. Bryan and Susan Webb made Tyddyn Llan in Denbighshire a special place to eat since 2002.

It had a Michelin star for almost ten years and is still in the Michelin Guide. They put it up for sale last year because they wanted to retire. The Llandrillo restaurant was on the market for £1.8 million, and now it's been sold, reports North Wales Live.

But Bryan and Susan aren't leaving right away; they'll keep running the place for up to six months more. You can get more story updates straight to your inbox by subscribing to our newsletters here.

Bryan said: "After six months of heartache, last week we finally completed on the sale of Tyddyn Llan. Although this does not mean Susan and I are leaving, we are staying on for up to six months and will continue to run Tyddyn Llan to the same high standards that we have for the past 22 years."

"It would be wonderful to see you before I hang up my apron in July after 48 years cooking at the stove and we move onwards."

He started his career at 16 and worked hard to become a top chef. He worked in top establishments in Scotland and London, then went on a worldwide food tasting trip with his wife Susan before coming back to Wales to start Tyddyn Llan in 2002. With Susan managing the front of house and Bryan cooking, the restaurant did really well and got its first Michelin star in 2010. They kept this until 2019 and are still one of a few North Wales places in the Michelin Guide. You can read about all the Welsh restaurants with Michelin stars here.

North Wales Live has asked Tyddyn Llan for more information about the sale.
