Swansea City are set to pay tribute to super-fan Chris Brown during the upcoming clash with Leeds United on Tuesday night, following his death.
Chris, a popular figure in the Jack Army for a number of years, sadly passed away at the age of 29, and tributes have poured in since the news first emerged over the weekend. A number of fans and first-team players have already donated money to help pay for his funeral.
The club has now encouraged supporters to show their respect with a minute's applause in the 29th minute of Tuesday's game at the Swansea.com Stadium.
Chris, who lived with FG syndrome, autism and ADHD, became something of a local celebrity due to his fanaticism and burning love for the Swans, and was a regular sight at home and away matches over the years.
Tributes have been pouring in on social media over the last couple of days, with Yannick Bolasie and Harrison Ashby among those to offer their condolences.
A Swansea City statement read: "Everyone at Swansea City is saddened to learn of the passing of supporter Chris Brown. Our thoughts are with Chris' family and friends at this sad time.
"In memory of Chris, we encourage supporters to join in a minute's applause during the 29th minute of tomorrow's match."
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, Kev Johns added: "If everyone was as kind and as friendly as Chris then the world would be a better place. Universally loved by all who knew him! Rest in peace Chris as our love, thoughts and prayers are with your family and many many friends! Chris loved everything about @SwansOfficial YJB."
A GoFundMe page has since been set up to raise money for Chris' family and "give him the send off he truly deserves".
At the time of writing, donations had reached just over £1,800, with players Jamie Paterson and Liam Cullen among those to have already donated.
