It may still feel like winter, but brighter and better days are just around the corner which means saying goodbye to cosy layers and heavy-duty coats to make way for a warmer weather wardrobe. And if you're looking for a new and versatile dress to freshen up your spring collection, then Marks and Spencer may just have you sorted.

The high street store is selling a linen-rich dress that shoppers are snapping up, thanks to its timeless silhouette and versatility. The dress comes in a classic black and a gorgeous bright blue, both of which come in lengths short, regular, and long and costs £29.50.

M&S has described the dress as being the "epitome of easy-breezy dressing" and is a knee-length style framed with a traditional round neckline and no sleeves. It fastens at the back with simple buttons.

At the time of writing the Linen Rich Knee Length Shift Dress has 141 reviews, most of which are very strong. One satisfied shopper wrote: "Lovely little number dress up or down loads of possibilities," while another added: "I wanted to buy this dress but missed out first time around so was delighted when it came back in stock. A third commented: "Classic easy to wear linen dress. Washed and dries easily, can be worn casually or dressed up. I buy most summers for the Uk if warm and holiday." And a fourth said: "Love this dress it’s quite flattering & comfortable to wear, washes well just needs a quick iron. Can wear it casual or dressed up. Please bring this dress back next summer so l can get another colour"

It's worth noting, however, that some felt the sizing was off, as one wrote: "Lovely colour and style but armholes gaping to much for me," while another said: "This dress was size 14 my usual size but it was huge. I’d lost labels etc and had to keep it and alter the armholes etc. Disappointed."
