The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for rain in Wales with up to 40mm likely to fall in some regions. The weather agency says a period of heavy rain on Thursday, February 15, could bring some disruption to southern parts of the country, affecting bus and train services and causing spray and flooding on roads.

The warning, which has a medium likelihood and low impact, will come into force from 11am and last until midnight. "Further rain, on already saturated ground, is expected to move north and east to affect parts of southwest England and south Wales on Thursday morning and will become persistent and heavy at times," the warning reads.
