Police discovered a man and a woman dead inside a house in Port Talbot after attending a property regarding a suspected breach of a bail condition. An inquest was opened into the deaths of Roxanne Louvain Williams and Craig Phillip Hall at Swansea's Guildhall on Tuesday.

It heard how Mr Hall, aged 40, was on tag and subject to a bail condition regarding his place of residence in Briton Ferry. He was not there and police were referred to the address of 34-year-old Miss Williams, his ex-partner, where he was believed to be staying. Police attended her property at Rhodes Avenue, Aberavon, on February 5 where they forcibly gained entry to the property and found two bodies inside the living room.

Coroner's officer Sue Davies told the hearing in a report how officers also found prescribed drugs, some unknown tablets, and white powder in the premises. Home Office forensic post-mortem examination carried out found no signs of trauma for either person with the cause of their deaths yet to be ascertained. Acting senior coroner Colin Phillips has now adjourned the inquests until July 24 at 10.30am. For the latest Welsh news delivered to your inbox sign up to our newsletter.
