Kelly Brook married Jeremy Parisi two years ago and is enjoying a settled life in Kent with their dog Teddy, a world away from her glamorous modeling career. The 44 year old model joked about how 'traditional' her life has become in an interview with OK! Magazine.
"Married life is really good. This is the most traditional I've been in my whole life, to have a proper job, a dog and a husband, I'm like 'who am I?'. I used to be running around town and now I'm all settled, it's mad, but it's amazing," she said.
Although she's not out on the town as much these days, Kelly, now a host on Heart FM's Getting London Home drivetime show, admits her career has exceeded her expectations. She rose to fame as a pin-up model in the nineties.

"When I was starting out as a model, I thought my career would be over at 30, then I'd have babies and get married and move on. You never saw older women on magazines or anywhere so I didn't think I'd have a career in this industry. But that never happened, I became a DJ at 39, so it's amazing."
Growing up as an aspiring model, Kelly often questioned the longevity of her career and felt scrutinised for her image and body.
"There is a massive pressure being a model when it comes to how you look and what size you are. I remember going to castings and them just not letting me even try on any clothes because I had boobs and it was all about looking waif at the time."
"Designers have not wanted me to wear their dresses because I'm not a sample size, and photographers would shout at me to 'breathe in' on a red carpet. So, it's a lot coming from all angles."
Kelly has brought up her struggles with weight fluctuation over the past few years - oscillating between a size 16 and size 10. She concedes that she began to neglect her self-care as life got busier.
"For a long time, I hadn't been thinking about my weight and had kind of neglected myself. I was so focused on other things, everything is so busy as you get older and it's like, everything else comes first and you come last."
In 2018, after realising her own self-neglect, Kelly decided it was time for change and collaborated with weight loss brand SlimFast. She successfully shed two stone quickly, enhancing her confidence as she found a healthy balance.
Currently, Kelly is still associated with SlimFast, and recently worked with fellow brand representative Big Narstie on an inspiring wellness podcast called Life Gains.
During the podcast, Big Narstie, whose actual name is Tyrone Mark Lindo, and Kelly shared their individual experiences with weight loss. Kelly confessed that she has learned to love herself more through her journey.
"It's all about redefining your life and thinking, actually, if I can't be fit and healthy, then I won't be very good at work, I won't be a very good partner, or dog mum, or whatever it is. So, let's get me sorted and then I'll be the best version of myself for everything I can do. And that, for me, is a life gain. Which is exactly what we talk about in the podcast, we share how it has been for us, but it's different for everyone."
"I do have days where I can't fit into my jeans, and I just say to myself, 'It's OK, maybe I'm bloated or it's that time of the month, but it's fine. I'm an older woman and maybe in a few weeks I will fit into those jeans', so I don't beat myself up about these kinds of things. I don't want to look how I did when I was 20, I want to look my age, and I want to just be happy."
Kelly shares her journey towards happiness and self-love on the podcast, offering tips and discussing how she learned to love and nourish her body with a new mindset.
