Dancing On Ice said goodbye to two couples during a double elimination with a twist on Sunday, February 11. At the start of Musicals Week, presenters Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern explained how the vote-off would work

They revealed that the couple who received the lowest amount of public votes would be automatically eliminated and would not have the chance to compete in the usual skate-off. The next two couples at the bottom would then battle it out in the skate-off as usual, with another duo being sent home after that.

The couple with the lowest scores and therefore sent home without the chance of a second performance in the skate-off was Roxy Shahidi and Sylvain Longchambon. Stephen said: "The couple with the lowest overall score and leaving the competition right now is Roxy and Sylvain."

A shocked-looking Roxy and Sylvain then hugged Lou Sanders and Ricky Norwood, who were the next lowest-scoring celebrities before Holly told them she had to "tear them away" in rushed scenes. In a brief exit chat, Holly said: "I'm so sorry it's such a brutal way to go out." Roxy replied: "It is brutal I was kind of looking forward to doing my save me."

"I'm really proud of what I've done and what I've learned," Roxy said before calling the experience "incredible" and thanking Sylvain for his guidance. After Roxy left, Lou and Ricky went head to head in the skate-off, with judges deciding to save Ricky and his professional partner Annette Dytrt.

The decision meant comedian Lou and her professional partner Brendyn Hatfield were next to leave Dancing On Ice. She said of the experience: "I've had the time of my life, and this guy [Brendyn] has been amazing." For more showbiz and television stories, get our newsletter here.
