H&M customers have hailed the retailer's 'classy' slingbacks that look similar to an expensive pair by Gucci. Shoppers have commented the slingbacks are true to size, comfy, stylish and have a 4.5 out of five star rating.
Describing the £22.99 pair of black slingback heels, H&M says the satin lined shoes come in a pointed-toe fit, features 7cm comma heels and an ankle strap that is elasticated at the back. Sizes vary from a UK two to a UK nine, but some are already selling out fast.
Taking to the product's listing online, shoppers were keen to leave their comments on the slingbacks. One reviewer recently wrote: "Brilliant pair! I was afraid they might be snug as I have wide feet but mine are spot on! Will buy all of the designs and colours definitely."
Two others added: "Love these shoes. Needed something stylish but not too high or out there. So comfy and trendy," and "Lovely slingbacks. They look classy and great for any occasion. Would highly recommend."
Another wrote: "These look amazing on! Heel height is perfect and although they are a bit pointed they don't elongate your foot. Not sure how comfortable they will be as haven't worn out properly yet. Am hoping they do them in a neutral colour too."
While customer feedback was mostly positive, some claimed they wanted a taller heel, while others said they might want to size up as for some, they run small. One shopper said: "These are too small. If you have slim small feet they are for you."
The H&M slingbacks look very similar to Gucci's £660 Mallory patent-leather heeled slingback courts for a fraction of the price. On the Selfridges website, a description of the shoes reads: "Latest line-up of footwear takes its cues from 90s sartorial codes.
"Informed by the era's minimalist aesthetic, the Mallory courts are sculpted from glossy patent leather and shaped to pared-back proportions with asymmetric lines defining their sleek silhouette." The main visible difference between the two shoes is that the Gucci version boasts the iconic interlocking C logo on the heel.
If you're looking for some classy slingbacks but don't fancy either, there are alternatives from other retailers. Boohoo offers a low stiletto slingback for just £17.60.
Meanwhile River Island has black chain shoes in a similar style, with gold detailing for £35. Elsewhere, schuh has a vegan-friendly alternative, the Serena slingback court high heels in black for £35.
