Newport County versus Manchester United was undoubtedly the hottest ticket in town this weekend and some went to more extreme measures than others to make sure they caught the action. With Erik ten Hag's men the opposition in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Sunday, Rodney Parade was a sellout and packed to the rafters, with supporters hoping to see another giant killing.
it wasn't to be, but Exiles fans who couldn't get tickets found other means of catching the action, climbing up onto scaffolding, erected by Bluetube Scaffolding, on a property near to the ground.
Scores of eager spectators could be seen trying to grab a glimpse of the game, having ascended ladders to get to their perches. Their efforts were spotted by Match of the Day host Gary Lineker in the BBC Sport studios, who was flanked by Alan Shearer and Micah Richards.

United had raced into a 2-0 lead thanks to early goals from Bruno Fernandes and Kobbie Mainoo before the home side scored to get themselves back in it.
And Lineker had a special mention for those who climbed into position for the 90 minutes. "I felt for the crowd actually, thinking 'oh crikey, this could be a bit embarrassing actually'," Lineker said.
"There is a brilliant bit that we can see here, there is scaffolding outside someone's house and you can only see this end, they've seen two United goals, but fortunately they've seen Bryn Morris' spectacular effort."
BBC cameras then later panned to the scaffolding. "We've actually got a shot of the scaffolding! We're just going to show it for you, why not?" Alan Shearer interjected with a "brilliant" comment before Lineker joked: "There they are, look. Absolutely crammed on there, apparently other scaffolding companies are available!"
It was all the idea of Richard Chard, who owns BlueTube Scaffolding in Bilston Street, said he'd approached Hayley Cowling to rent the land at the front of her house. Richard said: "I've rented some space off the lady here in Rodney Road.
"We put the scaffolding up yesterday and put some invites out for close friends and family to come and stand on the scaffolding because it was sold out. It seems to be working a treat.
