Drunk Elephant, a skincare brand loved by many, has launched a new cream called Bora Barrier Repair Cream. It costs £62 and is made to fix your skin barrier.
To celebrate its UK launch, Drunk Elephant is having special events at Space NK stores in London from March 1-3, Leeds from February 16-18, and Edinburgh from February 23-25. At these pop-ups, you can learn all about the cream's benefits.
The cream helps protect and fix your skin. It contains a mix of ceramides, lipids, minerals, and potent antioxidant compounds that help moisturise the skin, improve firmness, reduce visible redness, and balance the skin barrier. You can use it with other skincare products and put it on in the morning and at night.

People who have tried it really like it. One customer said: "My skin was soo sensitive and I thought it was my eczema flaring up, learned on TikTok what barrier repair feels like an what happens when you heal it, so I searched out products an of course my favourites DE was putting out this bora barrier cream so I naturally had to buy - this healed the spots on my face within days!"
One person was really happy with the product, saying: "This is the best product I have ever used. I'll be 44 and have sensitive and dehydrated skin. This is the only cream that has hydrated and made my skin feel smooth," and another added: "Amazing, super rich and moisturizing and gives that perfect fresh and clean feeling all over!"
But not everyone thought it was great. One customer said: "I wanted this because the ingredients list looked super interesting, I have tried it multiple times and each time it pills and balls up all over my face," showing they were let down.
If you're looking for something that's a bit cheaper, Kiehl's Ultra Facial Barrier Cream is now cheaper at £25.60 on LookFantastic, down from £32, and it's got good reviews too. Someone who tried it said: "Definitely recommend it for anyone, especially people who suffer with painful damaged skin barrier."
Your skin barrier is super important. It's the top part of your skin and it decides what gets in and what stays out.
When your skin barrier is healthy, it protects you from bad stuff like germs, infections, sunburn, and viruses, while also letting good things from creams and lotions get through. But if it gets hurt by things like bad weather, dirty air, strong cleaning products, too much sun, or even not getting enough sleep, it can stop working properly.
If your skin's protective layer gets damaged, harmful bacteria and other nasties can get in. This can cause redness, dryness, itching, and even eczema. If you notice these signs, it might mean your skin needs some extra care.
