As the latest series of BBC's Silent Witness wraps up this week, fans will see familiar faces like Emilia Fox and David Caves solving chilling crimes for the last time this season. Among the regular cast members, viewers might recognise guest star Hermione Norris, who played CS Sheila Court in the episode that aired on Monday, February 12.

Hermione, known for her role as Karen Marden in the comedy series Cold Feet, will help her co-stars identify 'The King's Cross Serial Killer'. The 57-year-old actress has had a successful career since her debut in 1990, with roles in shows like Drop the Dead Donkey, Casualty and Luther. Despite her success in acting, Hermione initially dreamt of becoming a ballerina before attending the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.

"At 12, I got a scholarship to go to Elmhurst school for dance; I wanted to be a ballerina. I changed at that point from being quite quiet and shy into someone rather loud and rebellious," she shared with The Guardian in 2016. Have you enjoyed the latest series of Silent Witness? Hermione has been happily married to screenwriter and television producer Simon Wheeler since 2002, reports OK! Magazine. The couple first met while working on the crime series Wire in the Blood and now have two children together Wilf and Hero.

Simon also created the ITV drama, Kingdom which starred Stephen Fry, in 2007 and Eddie Izzard vehicle, Castles in the Sky.

In a past interview with The Guardian, Hermione spoke about her journey to motherhood: "I wasn't yearning for marriage or motherhood I loved my work but all that changed after my son and daughter were born. They are my life's greatest gift."

In a chat with Good Housekeeping in 2019, Hermione opened up about marriage and the importance of trust. "There are people you have mad passionate affairs with and people who you marry. Marriage is finding somebody who you can raise a family with, grow old with and who you want to come home to," she explained. "It's hard raising a family so you need someone who you can trust to do it with."
