ITV bosses have confirmed a start date for Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway 2024. The new season will be the last for a while as presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly confirmed the much-loved series would be taking a break for the foreseeable.

Now, ITV has confirmed that Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway will return on Saturday, February 24 at 7pm on ITV1, STV, STV Player and ITVX. Highlights coming up in the live launch show next weekend include Stephen Merchant as the Guest Announcer, the unveiling of the brand new little Ant & Dec, a must-watch and hilarious Simon Cowell 'Undercover', and a special End of the Show Show with Becky Hill and Urban Theory.

Bosses have confirmed the new series will also include fan-favourite Get Out Of Me Ear will return with a twist called Get Out Of Me Ear: The Revenge; where celebrities who have been hidden camera victims of Ant and Dec over the years get their revenge by turning the tables on them and being in their ears.

A host of new celebrity faces will be taking up Guest Announcer duties again, and every show will sign off in spectacular style when some of the world’s biggest and best performers take to the Takeaway stage for a one-off performance in the End of the Show Show, as the only series on TV that lets its audience Win The Ads continues to be the happiest ninety minutes of the week.

It comes after Ant and Dec confirmed last year the latest series, which is the 20th, will be the last for a while. They said in a statement: "We've also decided that our 20th series next year will be our last one for a little while. The show takes up such a lot of our year, we just feel we need a little bit of a breather and that the show is going to take a little bit of a rest."

The series previously took a pause in 2009, returning four years later in 2013. You can keep up to date with the latest TV and showbiz news by signing up to the newsletter here.
